Paul Bischoff is from Wheaton, IL and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from Stanford University in 2021. While attending Stanford University, Paul was a fierce and passionate student athlete alongside his childhood friend, Micah Trautwein, daughter of Vic and Leslie Trautwein who are Kids Alive missionaries in the Dominican Republic. It is through this friendship that Paul first came to learn about Kids Alive and quickly grew the desire to one day serve in whatever way he could.
In addition to Paul’s drive for sports, he was and continues to be a dedicated student, educated in systems engineering, aeronautics, and astronautics, and patent law. He has worked in the defense and aviation industries, where he focused on supporting missions to the International Space Station (ISS) and the Moon. Paul also has experience in the legal industries working as a technical advisor where he collaborated with patent attorneys to handle all aspects of patent prosecution including drafting and prosecuting patent applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
While serving approximately nine weeks in the Dominican Republic this summer, Paul’s efforts will be focused on developing the electronic health record (EHR) system in the healthcare clinics. In addition, Paul is also determined to use his experience as a college athlete to provide useful health and nutrition plans to the youth in addition to guided physical activity. He believes engaging in these activities will provide a foundation for everyone to build healthy relationships and create opportunities to share the Gospel.
