Maggie Bailey is 22 years old and initially came to the Dominican Republic in January 2022 as an intern, directly after graduating from John Brown University (Arkansas). After discussing it with her supervisors and other Kids Alive staff, she has very joyfully and officially committed to stay another year at ANIJA school in Jarabacoa as a missionary!

She is currently serving as a laboratory teacher for 5th-9th grades (think microscopes, test tubes, vinegar and baking soda). Additionally, Maggie teaches an advanced art class for 8th and 9th graders, which she really enjoys because she gets to pour into a smaller group of students and encourage them to be creative. Last and certainly not least, she is a coach for the U16 girls’ soccer team. She absolutely loves sports ministry and is excited to see how God will use soccer to impact these girls’ lives and show them the redemptive grace of God through the gospel.

As you can see, Maggie works mostly with the older children, but she promises not to refuse hugs from the little ones! She is very thankful to be serving God in the DR right now – through this incredible, God-given opportunity to interact daily with the people surrounding her. She is also very thankful for your support and prayers!
