Rachel is from Phoenix, Arizona and serves as a Learning Mentor and Child Sponsorship Coordinator at the Park School in Caraballo. She graduated from Graceland University with a B.A. in Elementary Education and certifications in K-8 Reading and K-8 Mild to Moderate Special Education.
Through family members, she was introduced to Kids Alive and first served as an intern in the summer of 2019. Her passions for working with at-risk children, educating young minds, and sharing the love of Christ led her to come back as a full-time missionary in 2021.
Rachel works closely with the school psychologist to identify student needs and meets with students one-on-one to provide additional social-emotional and learning support. She is passionate about helping children feel seen, heard, valued, and capable. Rachel also coordinates the child sponsorship program in Caraballo and assists with the program in Monte Plata. She helps to organize and run the summer sports camp in Caraballo, and dreams of a girls volleyball program in this community for the future.
