Anne Peyton Baker (AP) is from Birmingham, AL and serves in the Dominican Republic in Emotional Programing for our Safe Havens. AP first volunteered with Kids Alive in March 2015 on a Here For Kids service team trip to Dominican Republic and had the amazing privilege of returning many times. In 2018, AP earned her Bachelor's in Science in Engineering Sciences and Spanish from Vanderbilt University. In 2021, AP earned her Master's in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University. AP is a National Certified Counselor in the US and awaiting her Licensed Professional Counselor licensure in the state of Tennessee.
After 3 years of living full time in Monte Plata, Dominican Republic, AP decided to transition into a hybrid remote role, splitting her time between Monte Plata and Nashville. She is able to work remotely from Nashville and visit Monte Plata for quarterly in person work for several weeks at a time. This transition has allowed her to focus on coordinating the Emotional team across all three Safe Haven sites and focus on broader reaching programs like the new Pilot Virtual Counseling Program that seeks to offer emotional support services for Kids Alive DR staff. She loves still being able to be in person with her Dominican family frequently, too.
Working with Kids Alive has been incredibly rewarding for AP. The children we serve are her greatest inspiration. She would be honored to have you join her in seeking their healing in every aspect by joining her support team!
"But this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is his faithfulness." Lamentations 3:21-23
