Audrey Willett is from Texas and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Science from the University of Texas in Austin. In 2018 she served with Kids Alive as a summer intern in the Dominican Republic. It was through her internship that Audrey fell in love with the mission of Kids Alive and knew God was calling her to serve at-risk kids as a full time missionary.
Working in the areas of health care, communications, and with service teams, Audrey uses her experience and education to create a lasting impact in the ministry. She develops and implements trainings for our staff at all ten ministry sites, including CPR/First Aid certification. Audrey uses her strong organizational skills to improve and standardize medical record keeping and information gathering systems. By creating videos and graphics she offers support for communications initiatives and sponsorship needs, including standardizing record keeping system.
As a service team host, Audrey guides teams in discipleship and mentoring. Over the past five years, she has participated in multiple short-term mission trips all over Central America, including Guatemala, Belize, and Honduras. Through these trips she has come to understand and value the powerful impact a short-term trip can have on the lives of the participants and the ministry of Kids Alive.
Audrey has always been inspired by the story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) who was willing to tear down social and ethnic walls in order to help others in need.
