Kara Donaldson serves in Kenya as the Family Strengthening Coordinator with Kids Alive Intl. With a BBS in Missions and Psychology from Hardin Simmons University, she has spent more than 10 years working with domestic and international, faith-based, non-profit organizations. She most recently lived in Nairobi, Kenya for two years serving within the child welfare sector.
As an adoptee herself, Kara has a passion to see vulnerable children and families empowered to thrive and believes every child deserves a forever family. Her heart is for each child to know first and foremost that they are precious and loved by their Father in Heaven, no matter their story on Earth. Furthermore, she desires that each child will know that they are cherished and valued within their family of community.
Kara is based in Nairobi, Kenya and works to develop the Family Preservation and Strengthening program across four ministry sites around the country. She also supports the Country Director and Programs Manager. She manages story branding and social media, builds KAI's network of partnerships within Kenya, and hosts international visitors and service teams.
