John and Sue, along with their four children, Joshua (17), Tori (15), Adam (13) and Sami (10), became part of the Kids Alive International family as short-term missionaries to the Dominican Republic in 2010. The Roman family first learned about Kids Alive through Wheaton Christian Grammar School, the school their kids attend in Wheaton, IL.

After spending two years serving kids at risk in the DR, the Romans have returned home to Wheaton. They continue to serve in the ministry in many ways. John is on the Board of Directors and Sue works with our summer intern program. Both John and Sue return regularly to the DR usually taking teams of people down with them.
